Laura and John / Indianapolis

Wedding on August 21, 2010 at Union Station in Indianapolis, Indiana  – (Post by Cathy) Ever since David and I started doing wedding photography, we’ve wanted to shoot at Union Station. And with Laura and John’s wedding, we finally had our chance! πŸ™‚ The place is enormous and absolutely gorgeous. Combine that with an awesome couple and it just made for a fantastic evening!

We first met Laura and John at their engagement session in Chicago where we got to see how much fun these two were and knew instantly that they were going to be a blast to work with on their wedding day. Laura was laughing and smiling while John was chasing seagulls. Just our kind of people. πŸ˜€Β And the wedding day was just as much fun!

While David left to meet up with the guys at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, I headed to the salon to hang out with the girls. I have to say that this was one of my favorite groups of bridesmaids that I’ve worked with. They were so much fun, and spent the entire morning laughing and doing anything they could to be there for Laura on her wedding day. Her sisters especially, Katy and Elizabeth, were determined to help make Laura’s day awesome. πŸ™‚

And things could not have gone better. The ceremony was full of smiles and applause (and a fist pump or two from the groom). πŸ™‚ And the reception was a blast, featuring a rap-off between John and one of his groomsmen and also a coordinated dance from some of Laura’s bridesmaids. Laura and John – We had such an awesome time at your wedding. Thank you guys so much for having us capture your day! Hope you love the photos! πŸ™‚

I love that the light leak from David’s freelensing matched the color of her bouquet. πŸ™‚

The bridal party had their own little pre-party upstairs during the cocktail hour. It didn’t stop Laura from taking a peek though. πŸ™‚
