Melissa and Doug | Lake Geneva

Post by David – I’ve always been jealous of my photographer friends who get to shoot on boats. It just sounds so magical and such an interesting challenge as a photographer. So I was completely thrilled when Melissa and Doug hired us to shoot their rehearsal dinner on a boat in Lake Geneva. We love going up to that part of Wisconsin and stayed the entire weekend up there. Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to go to the Upper Crust but I think we’ll try and go this spring. Anyways, the next day took place entirely at the Grand Geneva Resort, where we stayed, which was absolutely beautiful. Cathy and I enjoyed the Jazz bar the night before after their rehearsal dinner and I think if we ever get a chance we might stay there sometime when we’re not working. The setup for their reception was beautiful and made for an absolutely stunning evening.

Can you find the couple? 😀

Day Two

When we were down at the beach I couldn’t help but remember Amanda and Roger’s engagement session.

Before we left we snuck outside for a couple of sunset photos. This was our favorite. 🙂

Thanks Melissa and Doug for your patience, and for giving us such great locations to work had. We loved spending the weekend with the two of you and we hope you enjoyed our company too. We hope to see you two again in the future and wish you guys the best!

Much Love,
Cathy and David Photographers
