Post by David - We’ve been very excited about Staci and Amit’s wedding for a while now. Anytime a couple has us for three days we’re excited. As I mentioned on Samreen and Faisal’s wedding blog, whenever we get to be there for multiple days of coverage we get to know the couple, their families and by the last day we know everyone. This combined with an engagement session really helps us to know them, and from what we know so far — we’re thrilled. We met with Staci and Amit at the bean in Millenium Park, which I always remember isn’t the best place to meet since pretty much everyone there has a camera. After some “is that them” looks at one another we got right to work. We spent most of our time in the park and then finished up downtown as the sun went down.
Afterwards, Cathy and I headed over for dinner at Gage, a gourmet restaurant with what looked to be a fantastic tasting menu, for dinner which turned out to be quite good. Normally I’m not all that impressed with the food selection near Millennium Park and this one really surprised us. I highly recommend the bison tartar. Wow was it good!
I think we’ll be going back there again next time we shoot a session. We’re thinking about blogging some of our foodie adventures on here so let us know in the comments if you’d like to hear more suggestions or see some photos!
Right at the end, Staci’s adorable dogs showed up with her parents. How cute!
Thanks Staci and Amit for being so patient with all of our crazy requests and for looking into the sun so often for us! ;D We’re so excited to be a part of your wedding and greatly look forward to shooting all three days of your wedding at the Intercontinental! I think we might have to buy some extra memory cards just for you guys. ;D
