Syrian Engagement Party Chicago

Engagement Party at Noah’s Event Venue. Samia and Rohi’s engagement party was so much fun to photograph. Their families were so extraordinarily kind, the dancing was spectacular, and the spread of Syrian food was so so good. The engagement party venue, Noah’s in Naperville, was beautifully designed with red roses hanging from the ceiling. It was perfection.

Thank you so much to Samia and Rohi for trusting me with taking photos for you. I had an absolutely amazing time.

Wedding in Fishers, Indiana

Wedding at the Delaware Township Community Center in Fishers, IN.

I’ve known Bernadette for over 20 years now (what?!), and being able to witness her wedding to David was one of the highlights of my entire career. As a teen, I spent many, many weekends at Bernadette’s house, watching The Princess Bride over and over, playing board games, and talking about anything and everything late into the night. She was there for me when things in my life were tough, always able to make me laugh so hard that pop came out of my nose. So it was an honor for me to photograph her wedding to her soul mate, David. I can’t wait to see them grow old together. 🙂

Wedding at Salvage One Chicago

Wedding at the Salvage One. Chicago, Illinois. We love clients who are free spirits. Who are completely themselves – unashamedly, passionately them. We want clients who aren’t trying to be someone else or have a wedding they saw somewhere. Just theirs. Creeanna and Scott are that kind of couple. They embody exactly what we tell each and every client when we work with them. Be yourself. Don’t worry about the camera. Be real. Trust us. Have fun. And again, be yourself.  They gave us their total trust, even if it meant running around in the snow while I held a nightstand over my head yelling at Cathy to hurry because my fingers were freezing off and how Creeanna didn’t become an icicle I have no idea. Everything for the shot, right? And with Salvage One you couldn’t have a more fun backdrop to work with. And we worked it. And we’re thrilled with the results. We hope you like them too.

Thanks guys. You rocked your wedding. You owned it. Continue owning your marriage and being yourself and having fun and loving life. Much love. 🙂

Wedding at Michigan Shores Club Wilmette

Wedding at the Michigan Shores Club. Wilmette Illinois. So I may have shown a few too many photos of my Korean cooking to Yu Jin’s family. I did warn them though, lol. Sorry (not sorry). It was freezing cold that day. All week it had been beautiful and then like most Chicago days, decided it was going to be freezing cold (but hey, no rain). And after suggesting going for a ride in our Subaru down to Gilson Park, they just went with it. And I’m really glad we did because I think I would have frozen to death. But the light was lovely and wonderful and their families even came outside for family formals (before running back in as quick as they could). This was all well and good, all awesome, but what made the day for us was these two just letting their emotions run free during their ceremony.
