Engagement Photography at Miller Park in Bloomington, Illinois on October 13th (Post by David) - What an absolutely GORGEOUS day to be working on. Last month we had the joy of working with Kara and Blake in one of the places I used to go to for fun as a kid, Miller Park. The trees were the perfect color, and thankfully the day we were there the leaves hadn’t been raked.  We had also had a streak of cloudy and sometimes rainy days, so it was so great to finally see the sun come out.

These two were so much fun, so genuine and so kind to us. When we look at their photos we get reminded of the fun we had with these two — including getting stalked by some old guy who was watching everything we did (which was kind of creepy, lol). Anyways we hope you two love these photos as much as we loved taking them.

Wedding on June 26th at Aberdeen Manor in Valparaiso, Indiana - (Post by David) Back in my past life while working as a full time graphic designer I had talked with a lot of graphic design firms. Well Kara’s sister Kristen worked at one of them and after we shot her friend Meghan’s wedding she recommended us to Kara. And that’s how we met. Kara wanted a heavy focus on photojournalism and wanted to keep things natural, and as laid back as possible.

Their wedding was at the gorgeous St. Paul Catholic Church was was just plain stunning to say the least with it’s incredible stained glass walls. The ceremony was filled with Filipino traditions that were completely new to us and their reception was filled with the same love and joy that one would expect from such a sweet couple.

We had so much fun with these two and loved how much the couple spent out on the dance floor, and how much their family did with them. It’s weddings like these when we question if we’re really, truly, working.

Mom gave her son a kiss and left some lipstick. Thankfully a couple bleach pens later and you’d never know.

How cute are these two?

I love the photo on the left. They were sneaking back from the photos with us.

It was so sweet. About a minute in to each dance other father-daughter and mother-son couples came out on the floor.

The gal below on the left sang a special ‘At Last’ and I swear she did it better than Ella Fitzgerald!

Break it down Mom!

This is one of Cat’s favorite photos. It just plain cracks me up.

The couple had rented an old-school photobooth for their wedding and just had to snap a couple of these two.

A very emotional dollar dance. Hehe.

Shh… don’t speak… LOL!

This was a dance off … well, the best part of it.
