Wedding Photography at the Scottish Rite Cathedral and Marriott North in Indianapolis, Indiana (Post by David) -We’ve been so excited to shoot Katie and Mark’s wedding in Indianapolis ever since we shot their engagement session in Bloomington, Indiana last fall. They were so much fun to work with, so easy to get a big laugh out of, that their engagement photos were a total breeze and it didn’t even feel like work — just the way we like it. Their wedding was exactly the same. Just as fun, just as laid back and just as easy. Katie was nothing but huge smiles, big tears, and laughs all day long and even Mark couldn’t hold back some of the emotion up there at the alter.Being surrounded by little joyful sobs makes it hard to not lose it yourself.

Their venue of choice were also one of our favorites. We shot a wedding before at the Indianapolis Marriott North in 2009 with Meghan and Brandon. The food then was awesome (the first thing we always remember, lol) and the staff was gold. We’ve also always wanted to shoot a wedding at the Scottish Rite Cathedral as we’ve always heard stories of how dark it is, and how crazy awesome it is inside.

For the photogs out there, we had times when we were shooting wide open on a 50L at 6400 ISO at 1/40th. Thankfully even though it was dark in there, the event staff was bright, cheerful and wonderful to work with! We had a fantastic time shooting, had so much fun and loved how dramatic the wedding ceremony photos turned out.

Katie and Mark. We had so much fun with you two rocking it out on the dance floor, watching you act like crazy people in our photobooth and being treated like family members. You guys are par for the course on the kinds of clients we look for. Laid back, fun loving, and madly in love with each other.We wish you both the best and hope to see you at another wedding soon!
