Wedding on July 31, 2010 at Cloister in the Woods in Munster, Indiana - (Post by David) While I write this Cathy is listening to music while she works on a wedding, which always gets her all choked up. Every so often she’ll tap me on the shoulder to show me an image and it just plain makes me smile seeing her so happy. I guess that’s how I’d describe the feeling of being around Jennifer and Jason. It’s the way they are with one another. Seeing these two together just puts a smile on your face.
We got to know Jennifer and Jason at their engagement session in Nashville, Indiana and over pizza afterwards at Aver’s in Bloomington, Indiana (one of our favorite Pizza places in the world, outside of Upper Crust in Lake Geneva). These two are the kind of couple that balance one another’s personalities. Jennifer is outgoing, vibrant and no matter what’s happening she’s always positive about it. Jason’s much more the reserved type and you’ve gotta keep your eyes open to get one of those big smiles from him. He saves those kinds of smiles only for special occasions — like when he was dancing with his bride or when he was reading a card from his future wife the morning of their wedding.
Jennifer really planned the reception down to each and every detail. She also named all of the tables after movie titles (their table was ‘Here on Earth’). When we got there I was really excited to see she had put us at the High Fidelity table. It’s funny that she had no idea that High Fidelity is one of my top 5 favorite movies of all time (and my favorite book of all time for that matter). Just pure luck I guess, or maybe like Jennifer and Jason, it was just meant to be.
