This is a long entry with lots of pictures, so please enjoy!
Birthday Weekend! This weekend we went to visit my (David) parents. We were there to celebrate multiple birthdays. (My step-dad’s, sister’s, wife’s which is in early March but close enough, and step-mom’s.) Both my parents are divorced and remarried so I’ve got 4 people telling me what to do. It’s always been a challenge to schedule birthdays and other holiday events but a year ago by some weird strange fate they ended up moving to the same neighborhood about a block away from eachother. I can literally go see my mom and step-dad and then walk down the street and see my dad and step-mom. It’s very strange but saves a lot on gas and headaches.
I guess I’m just lucky like that.![]()
Anyways, first we went to visit my mom, Lori, and my step-dad, Lou. While I was there Lou was able to show me some progress on my 1975 Fiat X1/9. Like an idiot I forgot to bring my camera with me. I’ve enclosed some older photos which are still cool but don’t show how much work has gotten done! Seriously, the engine is sitting on a stand almost ready to get started outside the car (to test it first) and then it will get shoved back inside all boosted with new parts and double the horse power. I’d make the Tim Allen man noise but I don’t know how to type that.![]()
My brand spankin’ new hood ornament. Isn’t it pretty?![]()

The little red car to the left is Lou’s Abarth and the one on the right is my little fiat. The person in the middle is my amazing wife, Cathy.![]()

Anyways, in June we’ll be going to Skytop Pennsylvania in one of his cars and we’ll be sure to take lots of photos while we’re at Le Belle Machina d’Italia. We’ll be racing at high speed on the Pocono Speedway out there. It’s a car show filled with tons on Italian Cars. Very cool.
Back at the house we celebrated the birthdays with Mom, Lou, my sister Betsy, and my brother-in-law, David. (David’s full name is David Allen Beard, mine is David Adam Bock, so my Mom has to write out our full names on Christmas on presents. She says it’s very weird but we find it hilarious.) I surprised Lou with a painting of his dog, Drover, for him. I’ll be sure to put it in here to show you all.
Betsy opening cards.

Me, all comfy.

Mom’s dog, Milli, inspecting Cathy’s camera.
We got Betsy a very cute little Dooney & Burke wristlet. We’re glad she liked it.
David and Betsy got Cathy a gift card to Crate and Barrel. They know us very well! I’m sure Cathy will put that to good use. Mom and Lou helped Cathy and I get her the camera she took these photos with a while back so she got her Birthday very early.![]()
Lou’s reaction to seeing he got a painting of Drover.
The painting I did in Photoshop on my Mac with a Wacom Tablet. For those of you who don’t know what that is. It’s basically like a pen mouse thing. It allows you to draw just like a pen, but without all the trouble of ink.
Lou loves to cook, and love’s cooking stuff for presents.![]()

My Mom and Lou, so cute! My favorite of the weekend!

Betsy excited about some cool luggage Mom and Lou got her.

Milly got tired and fell asleep.![]()

Betsy on my MacBook, Cathy reading, mom on her iPod Touch. We think we convinced Betsy this weekend to join our Mac cult.
Cathy and I have 4 Macs. Mom has one too. Even my Dad (who took a lot of convincing) has a new iMac! Now we just have to get Lou to get one.
One step at a time!

Our favorite family game, Catchphrase! Boy against girls!

Mom and I watching viral videos on youtube.

The next day we went to my dad, Phil and step-mom, Carla’s place to celebrate birthdays. We got her a very cute purse and they got Cathy a brand new lens! How cool! It’s one we’ve been wanting for a while. I’ll be sure to put up a couple pics with it after this. While there, Dad showed us the figs and terrain he’d been working on. Dad runs a small publication company called Normal Warfare Publications. It specializes in reprinting old books and making rule sets for historical war gaming. It’s like risk on a really big table with little painted up miniatures. It’s very fun.
When I said really big, I meant it.

Dad explaining the scenario.

Inspecting the troops.

Cow.

This is an arrowhead that Dad got Carla for her birthday, it’s very pretty (and VERY old) and you can see right through it. He’s going to have it made into a neckless for her. How cool.

When we got home Cathy’s new lens was waiting in the mailbox for her so we whipped it out and snapped some pictures. I can’t believe how awesome the new lens is. We’re very excited to use it in all our upcoming weddings and engagement sessions! We can’t wait! Here are a couple pictures we took with it.
Charlie was watching us carefully so we snapped a couple of her.

She got tired of it very fast and decided to let us know enough was enough.

Either way I hope you’ve enjoyed all the photos. It’s been a while since we’ve had a chance to post some because of all the crazy weather and we’ve been very busy! We can’t wait to put all of our couples in here as the wedding season starts! We had a very nice person contact us this week in regards to taking pictures at a surprise birthday party. We just want to let people know that it doesn’t have to be a wedding. If you have an event you’d like pictures taken at send us a message and we’ll be happy to help!
