What a fun weekend!

So this weekend we got invited by our friends, Andy & Robyn, to spend the afternoon at a Cabin they won a weekend at. How cool is that? It was a very cute little cabin amongst trees out of sight of all the RVs south of Bloomington at Monroe Lake. The weather was perfect, at a nice 70 degrees! Of course it’s snowing tomorrow, but you have to enjoy that good weather while it lasts!
Anyways we got to the Cabin and heard all about the fun they had there the night before. I guess the bathroom leaked, the heater was worthless, the water was undrinkable (bacteria ridden), and you could see through the mortar in the walls. Not to mention the ground is red clay and since it rained was like walking through a swamp. Nevertheless they seemed to be really enjoying themselves. Free is free right?
Either way, we got to laughing hard about the time they had. I decided to go hop up in the questionable loft. We were lucky I didn’t break through the ceiling. Cathy and Andy of course was a bit freaked that I was going to fall and hurt myself (I had a habit of falling out of my bunk at night in my college dorm). I was fine, though the ladder up their was a bit scary.
I’m sitting in this picture by the way, thats how low the ceiling was up in the little… suitcase loft.

What awesome light!

We then decided to go play some free mini-golf. Along the way I got trapped up in some interesting gravel. For those of you who don’t know me I wanted to be a paleontologist when I was a kid and I’d always come home from playing with my pockets filled with rocks. I think my mom and dad have buckets of rocks lying around the house, filled with ‘fossils’.
Anyways, Cat caught me sleuthing.
I’m a sucker for swings. Andy decided to see how high we could get me. Scary!

They always have so much fun.
Postcard worthy! Cathy took this rocker.
Normally I try to avoid showing multiple shots of the same thing, but I loved both of these photos so much I couldn’t show just one!![]()
Also, Robyn was the only one who could cross this thing!
The girls chatting. The light that day was beautiful.
When we were done goofing off we went to this gas station restaurant. Yes I know. It looked a bit scary until we sat down by the bar and saw Ahi Tuna, Hummus and Shrimp Alfredo, on the menu. They had this amazing menu selection and it seriously looked like a cowboy bar. I was completely baffled, but it was awesome! They had some awesome fried mushrooms too.

Back at the Cabin. So cute!
FAVORITE! You guys rock!
Thank you guys so much for inviting us to spend the weekend with you! We had an awesome time and we can’t wait to do it again sometime! These two are so fun to hang out with. Hope you enjoyed the photos!
