So yesterday was Cathy’s last day of her “No-Meat Challenge.” A month ago I bet her she couldn’t make it 30 days without any meat. We’re both avid omnivores and love all sorts of food. However, I honestly didn’t think that Cat would be able to go a month without eating meat. The bet was made and the winnings listed. If she could make it a month, Cat would win a Shootsac. These are the absolute best photographer bags out there. Some may be more expensive, of course, but there is nothing that compares with their convenience, durability, and awesome good looks.
So she accepted. Fast forward 30 days.
Last night we went to a local Burmese restaurant with local wedding photographer friend, Jenny, of Grise Photography. She’s an awesome photographer and compliments our personalities perfectly. We had a total blast eating crazy good foods, even an avocado shake (it was actually delicious) before heading over to La Dolce Vita for the absolute best Tiramisu on the planet. I normally talk big about how awesome everything is, but seriously on this one. There is none better. I would drive many many hours to eat it. It’s that good.
In the end Cat made it, had a wonderful time with Jenny, and now Cat is picking out her Shootsac cover.
When we first started this thing we got contacted by an amazing videographer and photographer, Vu Bui, out of California who had done his own vegan challenge and even videotaped it! Vu encouraged us to do the same. Being stupid we didn’t up until the last day. But better late than never! Without further ado, our last meal movie. Thanks for the support everyone!
And the answer is yes! I accept your challenge!!

Jenny--Grise Photography - Hey! Awesome video! It turned out really cool, guys! And I had a lot of fun last night! Mmmmm……..Tiramisu………
Vu Bui - Wait a second… eating the best Tiramisu… while sitting at an Ethiopian restaurant? Craziness!
Dude, I have to say that your challenge is MUCH harder (sorry Cathy!). I hated the vegan project… it was terrible… but I would choose to do it again over having to cook every day… and I can cook! Well… not that well but good enough.
Congratulations Cathy, and good luck David. You’re gonna need it!
Lori Herrin - I’ll have to agree that David’s challenge is much harder. Plus it will be hard on Cat also because you both enjoy going out to eat. This will be a long month ::grins:: Good luck!
Love, Mom
erin - congrats cathy! i don’t know that i could have done that. (p.s. i love your haircut!)
good luck david….cooking 30 meals is gonna be tough!!
