Bloomington Indiana Restaurants | Restaurant Tallent

So if you know anything about Cathy and I you know we love to eat out. We love going to restaurants. One of our friends recently asked us if we EVER cook dinner. It’s a vice, we know. EIther way though we love going to new places and trying new foods especially if it’s gourmet. Our favorite meal ever was at Disney World at Victoria and Albert’s, the only five diamond restaurant in central Florida. It was a multi-course meal with wine pairings and ridiculously yummy.

So Cat asked me where I wanted to eat for my 26th birthday (like a month in advance, because she knew I had to think hard about it) and finally I decided I wanted to go to Tallent. This restaurant, run by Chef Tallent, who was trained in New York is considered to be one of Bloomington’s primo food establishments and after eating there I can see why. We entered the location, making early reservations delighted to see we were the only ones there. I loved the fact that nearly every server there was attending to us like we were royalty. As more people flooded in however, the service never wavered and they even laughed at my jokes! For my birthday I had gotten more RAM for the MacPro to edit faster but Cathy wouldn’t have that be my only present so she surprised me with an amazingly hot Burberry Wallet (the Classic Check Wallet) that I’ve been wanting forever. I would go nuts if Shootsac somehow got a Burberry cover.icon biggrin photoI of course shamelessly showed it to all the waiters and told them how my amazingly sneaky wife, whom I desperately love, had sent it to my mom who sent it to her hidden in a Coach purse that was a surprise for Cat. I never saw it coming.

After our amazing 5 course meal, from duck to tomato napoleons and all the wine pairings I kindly asked the waitress if I could take some photos of Chef Tallent doing his job. Cathy must have thought I had to many glasses of wine and rolled her eyes more than I’ve ever seen her do before.icon biggrin photo Either way, it turned out he was happy to have me and I ran in back and snapped off some photos, watching some of the items I had for dinner put together. HOW COOL! Thanks again to everyone there for an AMAZING meal.

Thanks for reading! -David.

kristin @ the fairmount bride - That’s sounds delicious! I am so bummed that it wasn’t around when I was in school. I used to love the Malibu Grille, is it still around??

Lori Herrin - Food sure looks yummy……. Guess we have another restaurant you can take us to the next time we visit. It’s bad when planning our vacation with you guys next year, to San Francisco, that our biggest priority is what cool restaurants we can go to to eat. ::LOL::
Love you …. Mom

Maya - Okay I see why you guys wanted to go here! Yum!
