Larry contacted me a while back in regards to shooting his wedding and was very excited about us doing it. We try our best to get to know our Brides and Grooms so we feel like we know them and their personalities when we meet, and when we’re at the wedding. Little did I expect to get such an awesome story from Larry:
Larry told me about how they got engaged:
—–She had a dream one night that I had bought her an engagement ring from one of those 50 cent toy vending machines you see in wal-marts and grocery stores. So when I finally decided to give her the ring, I put the real ring in one of those plastic bubbles you get from those machines. I handed it to her 18mo. old daughter, and carried her into the room, holding the ring in the bubble. I told her to “give that to mommy.” She did, and Sarah glanced at it, and handed it back to the baby. My first thought was “uh-oh. Let’s try that again.” So I told the baby to hand it back to her, to which Sarah said “I don’t want it.” She thought it was one of the baby’s toys. I told her “Yeah, you probably do want this.” At this point now, I’m starting to get nervous. The plan isn’t going exactly the way I thought it would. The baby’s starting to take an interest in this “toy” that her mom doesn’t want. Eventually I hand it to Sarah, and she opens it. She unwraps the ring from the tissue paper and pauses. “What’s this? Is this for me?” Not exactly what I was hoping to hear. “Yeah, of course that’s for you! Will you marry me?” Eventually she comes to and realizes what’s going on, and says yes.
I knew that these were totally the kind of people we were looking for. We love finding people with awesome stories (everyone’s got one, we could tell you some! …they mostly involve me…) I never thought I’d meet a guy as crazy-excited to see his engagement photos as much as I was, but Larry takes the cake!
He’s been refreshing the blog all day!! Wait no further guys! Here they are!

There was a band setting up while we took these. The music turned out to be great!
So… I will pretty much go up and talk to anyone. I mean anyone. While we were taking photos horse drawn carriages kept going by over and over again. So, I said, why not. I went up and the driver was nice enough to let us take some photos! How cool!
