Bloomington Engagement Photography | Summer and Ryan

Post by David.

Do you remember Meredith and Ulises? Well Mer’s friend Amanda has a friend named Summer. Summer told Amanda who told Mer. That’s how the story goes. At least I think so. Currently we have 7 or 8 brides that are all crazy interconnected together..

Anyways, Cathy and I have been in talks with this amazing couple for what seems like forever now and we’ve been so super-super pumped to shoot their session. They even let us do our first night-time engagement session which we’ve been so crazy excited to do. Well here’s the deal though. This sessions should have been last weekend but it rained. This weekend however the skies were clear and it worked perfect (despite feeling like a billion degrees out). These two drove all the way from their new home in Pittsburgh to do this session and that makes us feel all sorts of special. I could seriously go on for hours about how much we love these two but Summer might go even more crazy if I don’t post this as fast as possible.icon biggrin photoShe’s been so freaking excited to do her session since we did Mer’s that it’s been driving her bonkers. So either way, on with the session!!! Prepare yourself, this is a long one. Since they let us do a night session with them we pretty much included both parts! It was so hard to get down to this many!!!icon biggrin photo

Summer and Ryan were so thrilled that we were able to get onto the court and into the stadium for some of their photos. Even though we’re die-hard Purdue grads, we totally understand having school spirit. Plus it was super fun.icon smile photo

Summer - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH…Love it!!! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!! You guys are amazing :)

Hanssie Trainor - What a beautiful session. I love the ones in the stadium.

Christine (Artemis Clover Photo) - ok the night shots are SEXY HOT!

Amanda - Again…simply amazing!! You two rock!!! Summer is so happy :)

Sandy Kays (Ryan's mom) - Unbelievable..I love them and cannot wait to see all those photographs…You definitely capture both Ryan and Summer. I cannot pick a favorite!!!

Emily - awwwwww..all these pictures are gorgeous :) )) I cannot wait for the wedding. I like photojournalism..it makes it all looks sooo natural and not set up :) ))I can’t pick my favorite they are all good!!!!

Donna - The pictures are amazing! I love the black and white photo of the two of you laughing!

Ryan - WOW, those are awesome. Thanks again guys we had so much fun. I can’t wait to get some prints and put them in our apartment.

Parris Whittingham - New York Wedding Photographer - I love the photo with their huge shadows…so playful!

Mer - So very special!! Bravi tutti :)

Pam Koss - All I can say is WOW!!! OH MY GOSH … they are amazing!!
I have never seen such wonderful engagement pictures. These photographers are amazing!

Lori Herrin - So you asked me last night which was my favorite and it was ::drum roll:: the first of the night shots – the one with the trees and brick building with Summer and Ryan. I also got a kick out of the one with only their shadows. How cool was it that you were able to shoot on the football field and basketball court. I’d ask how you managed to be able to do that, however, I am assuming that David made that happen? Fantastic job and as always, your enthusiasm for what you guys do show through on each and every photo.
Love you, Mom

Sandy Stearns - These are great pictures! I love how they capture the “natural” look. Much better than “stiff” poses. I think they show your true feelings about each other!

Brianna - Beautiful shots (as always). I love the changes of lighting – full light, to soft dusk, to full night. Very cool :)

april (april foster events) - I love each and every one of these photos! Summer – you are gorgeous. Can’t wait to work with you guys on Summer and Ryan’s wedding.

Rachel Jacobus - FAB FAB FAB! As always!! :-)

e-session: Summer and Ryan - [...] e-session comes to us by the fabuloso and incredibly energetic husband and wife team of Cathy and David Photography.  The first part of the session involves Summer and Ryan’s love of all things Indiana [...]

Sandra Uppencamp (Summer's mom) - I’m the one who was skeptical about this photojournalism stuff. I’m the one who likes the boring traditional pictures, thanks for taking a few of those for me. I may have to change my mind because I really enjoyed these pictures. I want to know how you got Summer to look serious because she is typically smiling all the time and Ryan usually always looks serious. I think you showed how much Summer and Ryan love IU and each other. Thanks for the great photos, or should I say “photojournalism”!!!!

cindy - Incredible shots you two! Very fun and magical. BEAUTIFUL!

Paula - Those are really great. How are you ever going to decide.??

Kylene Gay - These are bee-YOO-tiful! You must have hung out with them for a long time to get daylight, sunset, and nighttime pics! That’s dedication! They’re all hot, I love the nighttime ones!

AmyJean @RelentlessBride - AWESOME AWESOME Photos !!! If FH and i lived closer to b-town, we’d definitely go back and take pics at our alma mater… those pics make me miss Btown.. i love the bride’s yellow shoes too :) Awesome!

Dennis Bullock - What a cool session guys! Good stuff….
