Wedding Portrait at the Armour House. - Lake Forest, Illinois
When I looked at the Armour House in Lake Forest, Illinois online I had no idea how beautiful it was going to be in person. The flowers all in bloom, the gorgeous fountains, the stunning architecture and everything about this wedding location were absolutely stunning to behold. I was absolutely thrilled that Kaitlin and Vaibhav had chosen us as their wedding photographers to cover their two day catholic and hindu celebrations.
The first day they had a beautiful catholic ceremony. After that we took them around town for portraits where we had so much fun with these two. Vaibhav was awesome at getting Kaitlin to laugh. 😀 The end of the evening was finished off with dancing and partying at the Sangeet in Schaumburg and had some of the spiciest food I’ve ever had (that’s not a bad thing though, for me). 🙂
The second day I met up with Vaibhav at his parent’s house in Lake Forest, IL for a traditional home made breakfast that was out of this world good. I had some seriously generous portions of all sorts of new foods (which I love) in one hand and my camera in the other. Vaibhav’s family really new the way into my heart there. Afterwards we all headed over to Armour House where Cathy and I nearly lost our minds with excitement at all of the beautiful locations we were able to shoot at, and as always excited when we know a ceremony and reception are all going to take place at the same location. We were also overwhelmed by the amazing job that Yanni Design Studio did at this wedding. We’d recommend them to anyone and everyone for their Chicago florist. Seriously. WOW.
Whether it was during the parade before their Hindu ceremony, or during the dancing afterwards at the reception it felt as though the day was constantly in movement and neither of us could help but move along with it. Though I don’t think anyone was impressed by my dancing skills. 😉 We had so much fun with these two and were overwhelmed by the kindness and generosities of their families. It was a wedding we’ll never forget.
Much Love,

The amazing hair and makeup was by Kasia Wolny.

The incredible arbor and flowers were done by Yanni Design Studio. They are AMAZING.

Vaibhav's brother explained the ceremony to the interfaith guests.

We could have taken wedding portraits with them for an entire day at Armour House.
