Post by David – Sometimes you just have to roll with it, to improvise and make things work. You’ve just got to know sometimes that not everything will go perfectly, to laugh about it and enjoy the humor of the moment when not everything goes perfectly. I guess it started with the rainy day engagement session we did with them at Millennium Park in downtown Chicago. These two were great sports about it and we all had a good laugh. Then it seemed to follow them to their wedding, right in the middle of the ceremony. These two used a parent’s unity candle and it was down to nothing for the wick, which meant a good five minutes of willing the thing to light, help from the moms and finally just putting a tea light on top of the thing and counting that as good. Being able to laugh about something like that, find it hilarious and move on, is to me the sign that these two will have a wonderful marriage. After that one little hiccup, these two had a wonderful day of fun and laughter.
Katie and Rays dog made an appearance after the wedding and noticed something new with Ray. 🙂
Bustling the dress is a serious process. 🙂
This might be one of my favorite Father-Daughter dance moments of the year. 🙂
On a side note, the band that Katie and Ray hired, did an amazing job. 🙂
Katie and Ray – Thank you so much for your love and your patience. You two were an absolute joy to work with and we dearly hope to see you guys at many future weddings to come. We had so much fun not only at your engagement but every moment of your wedding day. Thank you! A special thank you as well to the Metropolis Ballroom for being such a wonderful venue to work with. Your staff did an amazing job and took such great care of our couple and we look forward to working at your venue again in the future! 🙂
Much Love,
Cathy and David Photographers
